Cry me a river

What's happening?? 破财消灾? Sigh.. i can't believe its happening to me again, history repeats itself after 5 years. Is it a crime to be forgetful?

Today was supposed to meet up with friends for K lunch. While preparing and transferring my stuffs to another bag, i realised my purse is missing. The worst thing is that i have no clues at all to where and when i lost it. Till now i still can't believed i dropped it somewhere. So many important things inside, arrrgh, i hate my purse! Was only commenting that the purse i had was of lousy quality and the next thing i know, it left me.

Went to interchange to report loss, it was totally embarrassing, i was holding my tears when talking to the in charge, in the end, i still cried uncontrollably. By right, i should be experienced in losing purse and stay calm enough, but the thought of parting with my photos and all that.. hai..

Was supposed to withdraw $20 the night before, but it says minimum of $50. Whats meant to be gone, shall be gone eventually. I promise i'm going to zip my bag from now on, just wish that it'll find its way home.

Went to lodge a police report, trying to save money and get away with a lie but the experienced policeman is just too uncompassionate. Well, all the $ i've earned last week will be used to make a new IC. IC is 50% govt. property and 50% MY property. I have no say in this at all, no wonder poorer will only get poorer. Totally disgusted.

There are many different kinds of people in the world, pretty, smart, rich, poor etc. It just happened that i'm under the absent minded category. And this kind of people, is what "they" can't tolerate. Though i know its my responsibility to ensure that my belongings are with me, but is the penalty "they" imposed fair? If someone is born forgetful, increasing fines for subseqent loss of IC ($300) is not going to solve it. Maybe its due to the poor economy that they came up with such a "REMEDY", if thats the case,"they" might like to also put on another charge on those that lose their purse for littering, this way they can collect more fines or have free CIP services. Damn it.

Moreover, just because i have no evidence of theft my case have to be filed under Lost items. Well, those that commit crimes have super high IQ k, i'm not their match and end up i have to pay for my stupidity. Low crime doesn't mean no crime but being stupid is surely, definitely, without a doubt a crime!! This is going to turn me into a paranoid person, always doing a checklist on my stuffs. The thought of doing that just creeps me out.

FROM NOW ON I'M NEVER EVER GOING TO BRING IC OUT!!!!
I WANT MY PURSE BACK :'(, i just hope that its some kind soul this time round.

First thing when i got the police report was to look for some 4 digits no. I believe that the world is still fair, there will be gain when there is loss, according to the law of conservation. So, cl and I decided to try my luck, oh, did i say luck -.- on Sg Pool.
Bukit View quote : What you believe is what you will achieve.
I must 发发发 tonight!
I'm going to keep all negative thoughts off my head, the more pessimistic i am, i get the more troubles i'm going to have! Lady luck, please shine on me like before :)

Measurement of uncertainty

Stars thats shining on Sagi seems to be skiving.
Its a period of uncertainty.
Something that seem trival is bothering me.
Should i or should i not.
Have to get it off my chest soon and untie the knot.

Watching the machine folding envelope just gave me too much time, so much that thoughts just flow into my head like Yellow River and its electron rich.
At last i managed to clear off my work that had been snowballing for days, phew.
Time flies when working, its happy fri tml, woohoo.

Overwhelmed with KPO-ness =)

23/4/07. Happy Friday.
Workloads are getting heavier, things are piling up, haha. Dun feel like working on Monday. Haha. Most jobs i had in the past were own time on target based, now i'm in a different working environment, i realised i'm so "snaily", have to things speed up :x. But i shan't let this stress my hols. hehe.

Supposed to have a shopping spree after work, but as usual, plans changed. We had dinner in Centrepoint's Fish & Co, waited almost 20 - 30 mins to get a plate of seafood platter for 2 to be served, and served cold -.-. The dinner could be more enjoyable if the food is up to mark. Disappointment.

By the time we're done with our dinner, we accompanied py to get her cosmetics. Since its quite late after everything, and py isn't keen on k-ing, the remaining 3 of us decided to play tong xiao mahjong at cl's house. Wl's on an unbelievably lucky streak, keep hu-ing, luckily, all of us were tired out at ard 4am and decided to take a break, and it saved me from losing further. Haha! Very soon, its 5 plus, time to catch first bus home, yawns.

24/7/05
After sleeping for around 4 hours, time to get ready to meet out with 7-11 to ceb sw's bd. Had lunch at Bukit Panjang Plaza, a chinese restaurant (forgot its name), and yup, the food is tasty =) worth the price~. Headed down to ah ma place after lunch.

Highlight of today, dear cousin Shanel and Melva is bringing their spouse down to ah ma house. Went down exceptionally early today, hoping not to miss out any hot gossips haha! Nel's bf is a British, and i had a hard time adjusting to his accent and piecing his words together, :s, feel so cheena. Its been such a long while that the family is in full force, KPO-ness runs in our blood haha. Poor nel and her bf, have to undergo hours of interview.. lol. Most probably he's having culture shock when everyone is blabbering in a foreign language. Haha. The day ended with a family pic, we've gotta take more pics before nel flies to Aust for one yr =(. May everyone of us stay happy and blissful.

Loving the sun <3

After working in that company for almost a week, i feel that i'm in a disciplinary women workforce, and i mean with those aunties. Unlike those kind of warm and funny aunties i used to meet at other places, aunties in this company are pretty different, they're quite highly educated and bury their head at their desk, heard they're good at playing poliitics too, i need to be more observant. Youngsters there are rare gem, only 1 out of 30 that i come across is below 30. Luckily i'm under a 22, its not that i stereotype aunties, just that aunties in central district are just too special =x.

Heard from one of my colleagues, no jeans, or even 3/4 pants on any day of the week. I just feel that tts too strict, not even on fri? Come on, fri's a happy day, close one eye ma -.- and moreover i'm just temp that do filing in a hidden corner of the company (ok, the latter isn't an excuse). So i decided to wear 3/4 pants on fri and, haha!, i got caught -.-", no chiding, but mild warning. Haha, if i'm not caught i would have proceeded to wearing jeans le =(. Time to borrow from sis.

Yawns, working is boring especially in that environment, but for the sake of $ and market food, i shall bear with the silence in the company and solemn faces of the workers. Ewww.

3 days of resting in a row, ichiban! Weather is really too good these few days! Sun is scorching hot, hehe, surely can't put it to waste, so, the 5 of us, decided to go to ECP! Yeah ECP again, sentosa is just not for us. Just too bad that there weren't anyone kayaking in ECP or maybe it was prohibited? Anyway none of them are interested, we did the usual stuffs, cycle, and chat, everything under the sun whaha.

Py and i reached there first and waited for the 3 tortoises for around an hour to reach. We didn't waste time, managed to find a good spot, and sat on the beach in hope to get tann, however the melanin in me is just not enough haha, well, py is one successful case, cos she's got the shape of sunglass on her face haha =x.

Finally when the 3 pokes arrived, we had our lunch at subway and setted off to rent bikes. 3 singles and 1 double. Poor wl, have to share a bike with cl (she's prone to cycling in a S shape and cutting into the opp. lane.) Haha.. we took turns to take over the double bike, its enjoyable cycling in it, cos u get to tok alot but in my opinion, its only fun when u're sitting in front. I dun like to see ppl's back view, i prefer seeing scenery haha~

And this time, 2 hrs really past like 20 mins, din realise that we've cycled for so long -.-. And yup like wad xuan say, good time just flies. And she went back first for her vesak celebration. Leaving the 4 of us, sitting on the rock, photo-whoring. Conclusion, more of such healthy outings with the sun =)

Haha! Should be 8 yrs of friendship, not 9, miscalculation :p

*Counting Down - 1 more week* :D

Enough of rotting

Days after exam -->
Agent : What kind of jobs u looking for and whats your expected rate?
Me: Hmm.. any jobs will be fine except admin. $7.50 will be good ( shi zi da kai kou)

2 week after exam -->
Agent: An admin job with pay of $6/hr?
Me: Ohh, Sure =(.

This is so lack of determination, expectation drops as time passes. Lesson learnt, try to find jobs WAY before exam, this way u'll have a much upper hand, got time to reject and till the best offer comes. This is so much like women youth, sigh...

Was so worried that i had nothing to do in the company and ended up dazing, this way time really crawls. Maybe cos i'm just a temp, they din have much for me to do, only filing and all that, but good enough :), just dun leave me to rot :s. Everyday there's something to look forward to.. LUNCH TIME! Working at Tanjong Pagar is just so fortunate, there are markets with delicious and cheap food, shall try diff stalls till the end of my contract, haha.

And i realised something, during my jobless days, the sky is always cloudy, but when i got a job, not a cloud in the sky, got the sun in my eyes, so wasted, could have turned brown in just one day of soaking -.-. Guess its heaven's way of hinting me, haha. Rot summore and u shall stay at home :s.

Hope i can try many temp jobs before sch starts. Money money money ~~~

Tml's fri and next mon, vesak day whahah, shiok! And good luck to KS and SW for tml's MOM interview. Haa.

The Ketchup session

Today, met up with Mq and Don, we got to know through a Maths elective roughly 2 years ago in poly, the meetup was with an ulterior motive, tts to borrow CDs from Don, whaha. He's gt a really nice collection of it.. haha. Went to vivo to have lunch at secret recipe, and ate its pan grilled catch of the day, portion is large compared to the one at IMM, i quite like the taste but Mq thinks otherwise. *I'm so broke now, cries*

Kind of awkard, cos Don was a really quiet guy, and it was like me and Mq's "ketchup" session. Haha, maybe i've really changed, cos i was said to be pretty talkative compared to days in poly. *eyes roll*. You're still as quiet, uncle don -.-. Haha

Went around the shops, and ended up in one of the Vcd shops, one of Mq's Standard Operating Procedure, haha, and spotted a real classic. Bet most would have watched it before, was a 1980 production, a comedy of a kung bushman with a coke bottle. Must rent it someday! Here's the movie ~
Thanks Don for all the Cds, will take my time to appreciate it, haha.
I'm still jobless. This is bad, terribly bad. *shakes head* Maybe i should have accpeted the surveyor job, but 好马不吃回头草 :s

Job hunting

Jenga-ing one day before Wong-san の flight~

Had a really fun time Jenga-ing, was a brain teasing game and setting traps for your opponent. It proves that Sagis are really adventurous haha, we started off by leaving one tile left at the bottom most layer in our first 2 moves haha! It was a tie =). Lets Jenga again 20 days later ! :D

After enjoying 6 stress free days, its time to settle down seriously to start looking for jobs. Met up with sw today to job hunt by starting off with a set of straits time. Was quite enthusiatic about the job advertistments at first but as we started calling, we realised that many companies aren't wiling to disclose basic informations like working hours, job scope and pay range.

They will need us to go for the interview before feeding us with these general information. And i'm not dilligent enough to travel all the way down to different areas just to gather such details, waste my time and $$, bus fare isn't cheap o.O. Its like doing investment without knowing the risk.

Headed down to town wanted to see if there's any job vacancies for some departmental stores, only to realised most are aunties or a non-chinese environment. We're like 2 lost ppl not knowing where to go, until tada, Andrew appeared, we met him after his interview also at Taka. Cannot deny that he's a really efficient person, at this stage when we're looking for jobs he's already having quite a jobs for him to choose from. Smart guy indeed.

He suggested that we go Recruit E to try our luck, due to my past bad experience with them, i went there reluctantly, but the agent that interviewed us was kinda friendly and was like some chatting session.

It was thru tt interview that i think i found my clone whaha. Andrew~ we had similar working experience, academic results and the job scope we're looking for is the same too (anti-admin). Haha, due to my greediness in terms of pay, he's at a much upper hand. And there might be a chance for us in getting an interesting job. Hope we'll be offered with it!

Only thing to do now is to wait and send a few more resumes and of course, enjoy my precious holidays ^^v.

*Counting down =)*

Labour day

2 singing sessions in 3 days, haha, went to orchard's party world to celebrate qw's belated birthday. Ages since i stepped into partyworld, i'm sure next time i will patronise them instead of kbox. It's great to meet up with poly friends, its like around 4 months since i last seen them i think. Looks like everyone is doing great, most are doing what they like =)

To cut cost, i didn't join the group for dinner, went to stroll alone, some quiet time alone, but i don't quite like the feeling, so zi bi. Haha~ Went to check out Art Friend, a nice DIY shop with lots of raw material to start with for creative gifts, a really nice place to shop, the items there are quite reasonable too.

On my way home, when taking train at JE int. everyone where rushing to grab those seats, including me, haha =x, i saw one family, they got a few seats and were smiling so happily, it just made me realise that sometimes we're too busy with our stuffs and failed to really appreciate whats happening around us, life can just be so simple and happy. Life is too short to frown all the time.

Good game now, Wong-san is flying off soon to his favourite Taiwan for 3 weeks, wad a good timing lol. Take great care dear :) *sings Sammi's song* Hehe.
